Announcing a New Perseus Users' Forum

5 June, 2000

For many years, the Perseus Project maintained a discussion list on the Brown University listserv. As of June 1, 2000, the Perseus Project has moved this list to eGroups (http://www.egroups.com). The project would like to take this opportunity to encourage past list members to join the new eGroup and extend an invitation to new members.

The Perseus Project eGroup is a users' forum designed to promote the exchange of ideas and information among the growing community of Perseus users. The forum will be the place for:

The Perseus Project eGroup will support questions and comments relating to the Perseus Digital Library (on the WWW) and the various CD releases of Perseus. The Perseus mailing list has traditionally been low-traffic; it is our hope that the new eGroup will be active but not burdensome. All postings will be closely monitored for Perseus-related content.

eGroups is a free e-mail group service that allows users to easily create and join mail groups. This service offers several options for viewing mail messages such as individual e-mail, a daily digest, or reading mail on the WWW site. It also provides the project with customer support options, and has a strict anti-SPAM policy. Visit eGroups for further information on their policies.

How do I subscribe? See the Perseus Project eGroup home page for subscription information and to contact the list owner.

For more information on past postings and topics, the Perseus discussion list archives at Brown University listserv.

Again, the old Perseus mailing list has been deactivated.

The Perseus Project wishes to thank Elli Mylonas for her support of the Perseus discussion list at Brown University.
