Decoration Description:
Side A: Herakles wrestles Antaios. Herakles bends over fallen Antaios, clutching his left arm in his right hand and his head with his left hand. Antaios looks to left and has a shaggy red beard. Herakles wears a red fillet. Hanging above are Herakles' club, bow and what may be arrows. Doric colonnades in background on either side. Nonsense inscription above hanging weapons.
Side B: Groom currying a horse. Horse stands to right; the groom stands behind facing left with his hand on horse's flank. His cheeks are puffed out as if to blow hair off brush. Red used for fillet, mane and tail. Horse is tethered by red rope attached to neck of vase. A Doric colonnade to left.
Palmettes on neck. Black tongues on shoulder. Lotus and palmette quatrefoil under each handle. Band of double dots above zone of rays. Circular incisions inside neck.
