Side A: Herakles kneels to right over the top of the crouching lion, which raises its left hind leg. Herakles wears a red wreath. The lion's mouth is open and snarling. In the background is a tree with red leaves from which hang a cloak and a sword. At right, another cloak hangs. At left, two nude youths run up, both with red fillets, gesturing emphatically. At right, a third nude youth runs up with a cloak over his extended left arm, and a club in his lowered right hand. Behind him is a palm tree. He wears a red wreath, and is possibly identified as Iolaos.
Side B: Herakles and the Cretan bull. Herakles stands with his back to the viewer and ties up the bull with a rope. Behind is a tree with red leaves from which hangs a cloak. Two youths run up on either side, and two youths run away at either edge. Herakles and all youths wear fillets. The youth at far right has a cloak. Second youth from left wears a wreath. There is a large ivy leaf below each handle.
Tondo: nude archer to right firing an arrow to right, drawing back his bow. Added red is used for the string, arrow, and wreath.
