...ptured at the battle of Germantown; subsequently was promoted colonel; and commanded the Hampshire and Berkeley regiments at the capture of Cornwallis in 1791.
He served as lieutenant-colonel under General St. Clair , and was wounded in the battle with the Miami Indians, Nov. 4, 1791.
He died in Jefferson county, Va., Nov. 26, 1801.
