St. Louis, June 17.--Report says that Brig. Gen. Slack, while mustering troops into the service of the State at Chillicothe, was taken prisoner by Col. Curtis , with his U. S. volunteers, on their way to St. Joseph.
It is understood that Gen. Slack will be taken to Fort Leavenworth.
