...ed an eloquent eulogy on the character of the deceased, concluding by offering a series of resolutions expressive of the feelings of Congress, which were unanimously adopted.
He was followed by Messrs. Hill , of Ga.; Mason, of Va., and Chestnut, of S. C., who delivered most eloquent and affecting remarks, eulogistic of the deceased.
Congress then adjourned.
