...t weather.--The Des Moines River was at flood height, and fence rails, saw logs, corn shocks, etc., were shooting out of it in quantities sufficient to nearly cover the entire surface of the river.
Mr. Hare had four hundred hogs in a pen in the bottom, on Copperas Creek, above Bentonsport, and all were swept off and lost in one night.
