Sudden death on Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington. --From the Washington Chronicle, of the 15th inst., we extract the following: Yesterday Wm. G. Donohoe, whose face has long been familiar to most of our citizens as the occupant of the fruit and confectionery stand on the Avenue, at the foot of Eighth street died suddenly at his stand. He was a patriot and a soldier, having fought in twelve battles in the Mexican war, and was over two years in the Florida war, during which he never slept under the roof a house. The failure of his eye-sight alone prevented him from going into the army again last spring.
