Religious movement. --The Shenondale Circuit of the Baltimore Conference held a meeting at Valley View, Jefferson county, Va., on the 19th inst., to object to the new chapter in the Discipline of that Conference, so obnoxious to Southern Christians. The following resolutions were adopted: Resolved, 1st. That we think it inexpedient to take a positive position as a circuit, until our wise statesmen, and the people generally, have taken their stand --then, as a Church, we will follow, and not lead 2d. That we will take our stand with Virginia, let it be what it may, 3d. That we shall rejoice to receive slaveholders in the Church on this circuit, in addition to those we already, have 4th. That we do not regard the new chapter as anything more than we would regard a new chapter against the use of tobacco, passed by a majority of the General Conference, telling our people that if they indulge in its use they were sinners in the sight of God. 5th. That we will follow Virgini
