The Alexandria Gazette denies a report "that many of the soldier? stationed in Alexandria, with their officers, are showing some spirit of insubordination, in consequence of the President's proclamation." An explosion took place at the arsenal in Columbus, Ky, on the 25th instant, destroying a large amount of ordnance stores and cotton. No lives were lost.
