The next original record found, which seems to have been made while the battery was in Hardaway's Battalion at New Market Heights, June 30, 1864, is very indistinct. The paper is a very poor specimen of the Confederate make; the ink has faded, and the handwriting not as eligible as Horace Greeley's. We purport it about as
