At a mass meeting of this brigade, Lieutenant-Colonel Kasey, commanding, being called to the chair, and Lieutenant Colonel Lilley being elected secretary, the meeting was called to order, and the following preamble and resolutions were unanimously adopted: "Whereas, the rude, red hand of war has snatched away our beloved division commander, and deprived us and the country of the valuable services of the temporary commander of the brigade, therefore.
