d informs the writer: I prepared the order of march and of battle, which were submitted by me to Generals Johnston and Bragg, in presence of Colonel Jordan, chief of staff of the whole army, and they were accepted without one word of alteration. They were then put in proper form by Colonel Jordan, and furnished to the corps commanders. These orders are in Appendix C to this chapter.
