Mr. Taliaferro moved that the resolution and amendments be indefinitely postponed, and the ayes and noes were demanded — ayes 11, noes 15. Refused to postpone. Mr. Paxton moved to amend, by making it a joint resolution, and providing that when the Senate adjourn to-day, it adjourn to meet again on the 8th of February.
