Struck by lightning. --The house of Mr. Lafayette Kirby, near Spartanburg, S. C., was struck by lightning on the evening of the 28th ult., and badly shattered. Mr. Kirby, his wife and children, were all severely shocked. They were struck senseless, and Mrs. Kirby did not recover possession of her faculties for a day or two. Mr. Kirby and his children, however, soon recovered from the shock.
