From Jackson. Dispatches from Jackson, dated June 12th, state that the enemy have evacuated Harrisonburg and are in full retreat down the Valley. Yesterday there was a report in town that Jackson had followed up the retreating armies and had fallen upon Fremont with his usual success. Several prisoners have been captured by our advance forces. Once more "Stonswall" is in pursuit of the retreating Yankees, and we may soon expect stirring details of his operations.
Threatened descent of the enemy on East Tennessee. Augusta; June 12 --The Savannah Republican, of this morning, has, a dispatch from Chattanooga, dated 11th instant, which says: "Information has been received here of a very important character from the borders of Kentucky. It has been ascertained that the enemy have collected an army of twenty-five regiments in the vicinity of Boston, Ky., near Tennessee, and also received large reinforcements of artillery, and are now threatening a descent on East Tennessee. Nothing further has been seen of the enemy in this quarter."
