Secession movement at the South. Message of Gov. Gist, of S. C.--speech of Ex-Governor Adams--letter from John M. Betts, &c. The election of delegates to the State Convention took place in South Carolina on Friday last. Out of the twenty-two members elected from Charleston, seventeen of them have given the following pledge: "1. That the Convention when assembled should withdraw South Carolina from the Confederacy of the United States, as soon as the ordinance of sece over any part of South Carolina.
