Convention of Banks.
--The following resolution was unanimously adopted by the Bank Convention, held at Atlanta, Georgia, on the 3d instant:
Resolved, That when this Convention adjourns, it adjourn to meet again on the 24th instant, at Richmond, Va., and do invite all Banks within the Confederacy who have not been represented here, to send delegates to their next meeting.
In accordance with the above resolution the Convention will meet at Richmond, Va., on the 24th inst., James -The following resolution was unanimously adopted by the Bank Convention, held at Atlanta, Georgia, on the 3d instant:

Didn't know what a Barbette gun was.
--"Union-Slide Banks, one of the Major Generals, the Ohio Watchman says, did not know when appointed to that office what a barbette gun was. He inquired of Gen. Prentiss, of Columbus, in that State, who happened to be at Washington at the time-- "General, what is a barbette gun?
I don't know." The General ought to have informed him that it was an invention to slide the Union asunder.
