Larceny. --A negro called Michael, belonging to Mary Bell, was before the Mayor yesterday for stealing a chest and contents, valued at $100, from Bridget Blake. It seems that Mrs. Blake employed Mike to assist her in moving, and instead of carrying the chest to the place designated, he took it to Mr. Eacho's office, and commenced a sort of peddling speculation among the negroes. The property was all recovered by watchmen Boze and Davis, except a $20 gold piece alleged to have been in thg to Mary Bell, was before the Mayor yesterday for stealing a chest and contents, valued at $100, from Bridget Blake.
