Blake manufacturing Co. This vast enterprise owes its succness energy, and sterling integrity of its founder, George Fordyce Blake, a descendant of the stanch old New England family of this name. In 1862 Mr. Blake, while employed as mechanical engineer of Peter Hubbell's brick-yards at Cambridge, was granted a patent for a water meter.
