able hands. Among those who rendered efficient service in the expedition, we would not forget to name Heros Von Boroke, formerly Lieutenant in the 1st Brandenburgischen Dragoons, (Persian army.) He arrived here but recently, and is serving as volunteer Aid on General Stuart's staff. In the first charge, near Hawes's Shop, he behaved with great gallantry, and won the esteem of all who witnessed his soldierly conduct during the entire progress of Gen. Stuart's pleasure excursion. Capt. Burke, also, of the General's staff, and Corporal Hagan, (corporal of escort,) should here be favorably noticed for efficient services, and particularly for their fatiguing labors in assisting to rebuild Zone's Bridge, over which most of the scouting and reconnoitering party crossed the Chickahominy. From those present, it is said that without the labors of these gentlemen the greater part of the column would have been long and dangerously delayed, being as they were in uncomfortable proximity
