Governor's mounted Guard. --This fine body of cavalry, commanded by Capt. Cabell, paraded on Saturday, nearly 50 strong. The company assembled at the First Market, in the morning, and proceeded up Main and Broad streets, eliciting many complimentary remarks from the citizens as they rode by. After this, the Guard repaired to the farm of Garland Hanes, Esq., in Henrico county, where the target practice took place. The first saddle, offered as a prize by Mr. Samuel Cottrell, was won by Private Storrs, and the second by Private Echols. Mr. Hanes gave the company a handsome entertainment at his residence, and several excellent speeches were made on the occasion. They returned to the city between 5 and 6 o'clock in the evening, highly gratified with the incidents of the day.
