Charged with stealing. --Charles Rose, a white lad, and Willis, his servant, were before the Mayor yesterday to answer the charge of stealing one pair of shoes, a pair of socks, a few potatoes, and a package of butter, from Allen Carter and C. A. Shackle, on Monday last. All the parties came on from North Carolina in company, and reaching the depot in this city employed a hack to take them to Gen. Winder's office. Very soon after their arrival here the articles mentioned were abstracted from a satchel, which was locked, and which was forced open. The Mayor after hearing the evidence remanded the parties for further examination.
