Mayor's Court --Justice Caskie presiding.--The case of Thomas Lillis, charged with "feloniously taking, stealing, and carrying away" the sum of $170 in bank notes and specie, the property of Mrs. Elizabeth Demelman, came up again on Saturday. The former evidence was reproduced, with some additions; but as nothing was elicited to satisfy the magistrate of the prisoner's guilt, the warrant was dismissed. Richard Loyd, against whom a singular charge of taking $175 from Lieut. Cornelius McCarthy, has been pending for some days past, was discharged from custody, no witness ving appeared to testify against him. The result seemed to afford much gratification to the accursed and his friends. John T. Forsey was brought up for overindulgence in spirituous liquors and trespassing on the premises of Mrs. Kennedy; and Nicholas Powers for a somewhat singular offence, with the addition of taking lodgings on the pavement.
