In the Senate, the resolutions of the Legislature of Maryland, protesting against the usurpations of Lincoln, were read and ordered to be printed.
A bill supplemental to that for the protection of commerce was passed; also, a bill to increase the engineer corps.--The motion to postpone the consideration of the bill to divide Kentucky into two judicial districts, led to the discussion of the loyalty of Judge Monsses to the United States.
