T. had on board seven hundred and fifty of the D'Epineul Zouaves, but was of too heavy draft to get through the inlet, and her troops could not be landed. She remained off Hatteras, short of provisions and water, until Sunday, the 26th ult., when she was ordered to return to Hampton Roads. On her way up the coast she experienced heavy weather, and was blown off. The released Confederate prisoners, W. J. Willie, Milton Ferguson, and W. B. Compton, who went down in the Adelaide for the purpose of going to Norfolk, were refused passes, and were returned and placed in Fort McHenry to await further orders from Washington. Three others, who went down previously, are still at the Rip Raps. Mr. Pantor, captured by the Confederates in July last, at Centreville, and since confined at Richmond, came up.
