Mr. William E. Davis, of Cincinnati, who, while a correspondent of the Gazette, was captured and confined at Salisbury prison, has been subpœnaed to appear before the military commission to convene in Raleigh, N. C., this coming week, as a witness in the case of the United States against John H. Gee, late commandant of the Salisbury prison.
