Old Point, where Surgeon Cuyler, of the regular army, and his Assistant Surgeons, investigated the various cases, and concluded to send twenty-four of them to the Army Hospital, at the Old Point Comfort Hotel, as they were too much debilitated to proceed further, at least for the present.
Of the funds contributed by the Tenth New York regiment, at Newport News, were distributed to the soldiers who reached here — the sum of two dollars each — as follows:
