Resolved, That the officers of this Society shall be a President, ten Vice Presidents, and Executive Committee to consist of fifteen members, and a Secretary and Treasurer. The office of Secretary and Treasurer may be conferred on one person. Mr. Myers then offered a resolution, which was adopted, that the Society proceed now to the election of officers. President Lyons retired from the Chair, which was filled by Mr. Galt, of Fluvanna. The office of President being the first to fill, Mr. Myers nominated for that position James Lyons, Esq., and there being no opposition, his election was declared to be unanimous. Mr. Lyons returned thanks for he renewal of confidence on the part of the members, and promised to devote his best energies to the success of the Society. Mr. Myers nominated the following gentlemen for Vice Presidents, and they were all elected: Wm. C. Rives, of Albemarle. Wm. H. Macfarl
