Distressing accident. --A fatal accident occurred at Brummel's Mills, in Manchester, on Tuesday last. A lad named Franklin, employed in the establishment, went into the bran-room, and by some means got into the mass of bran which was passing downwards Being unable to extricate himself, he was drawn in headforemost and suffocated. When discovered, his feet were protruding from the bran, and the poor little fellow was taken out. Physicians were called, and every effort was made to resuscitate him, but in vain. His father, who worked in another mill, was overwhelmed with grief, and the scene, on his arrival, is represented to have been distressing in the extreme. The body of the child was carried to Fredericksburg for interment, where his mother was buried not long ago.
