He has served on all the examining boards of his judicial district; is county physician and health officer of Gonzales; is a member of the Texas State Medical Association, and has been elected one of its vice-presidents and chairman of the section on surgery, and is also a member of the American Medical Association, and of the Ninth International Medical Congre hazel eyes, is retiring and studious in disposition, and like most of the descendents of the old families of the South, is fond of fine horses and field sports.
He is a devout churchman, and has long been a warden of the Church of the Messiah, Gonzales.
