Hall thief. --On Sunday night last some thief entered the hall of Mr. E. D. Eacho's residence, while the family were at tea, and stole therefrom a new overcoat, two hats, and other articles of wearing apparel.
George Christy, the celebrated delineator of the negro character, will give a series of amusing entertainments at Mechanics' Institute Hall, commencing on Monday night. Christy is said to be an host within himself; but aided as he will be by one of the largest companies of musicians and actors now traveling, we have no doubt that his entertainments will be highly attractive.

Miss Caroline Richings, the Richmond favorite, aided by other vocalists, is expected to give a grand vocal concert at Mechanics' Institute Hall some afternoon this week. Those of our citizens who have not heard her at the Theatre, will thus have an opportunity or hearing one of the finest vocalists of the day, and we are quite sure will be highly delighted with the rare treat in store.
George Christy, the original, aided by a large number of very fine performer, is to give a grand musical entertainment at Mechanics' Institute Hall this evening. The admirers of "burnt cork opera," as well as others who are fond of good music, and can appreciate a hearty laugh, will be sure to attend.
