kstep," composed by Mr. J. A. Rosenberger will known to our citizens as the former skillful leader of the crebtsits at the Theatre, and now a member of the First Regiment Sand. It is a composition of five pages, with a handsome frontispiece, representing Beauregard on the field of battle; and we are informed by Mr. Hirshberg, a member of the Band, that it is really beautiful. Indeed, when the piece was performed at Beauregard's headquarters, at Centreville, the gallant chieftain said: "The quickstep is musical and beautiful. I hope you will soon have the opportunity of playing it on our march upon the enemy, and on the other side of the Potomac." The fortunes of war have transferred Beauregard to another field, where he is now gloriously contending with the enemy; and at this particular juncture the musical composition possesses more interest than ever. We suppose our booksellers will lose no time in procuring a supply. It is published by P. P. Werlein and Halsey, New Orleans.
