f Virginia to dissolve a Union which will have proved to be a curse rather than a blessing. 6th. That in this lamentable emergency, should it be necessary to uphold this right by force of arms, we, the non-slaveholding working men of Richmond, will stand by our slaveholding brethren and make their cause our cause, believing our interests to be the same. These resolutions were signed by James H. Pecor, John P. Tyler, James Sherry, James Cassidy, W. S. O'Brien, Thomas Jones, and Andrew Herbert. The following minority report was read by Mr. George S. Young: Whereas, the whole country is in a state of profound excitement, and a crisis has come which demands the consideration of men of all pursuits; and, whereas, we, the working men of the city of Richmond, feel the deepest interest in the termination or the present difficulties, which in many instances have deprived us of support-- Resolved, That we invoke patriotic men of all parties to unite upon some satisfact
