, over a winding stairway. The door was burst open, and some eight or ten persons found themselves suddenly confronted with the enemy. One individual endeavored to leap through a window, but received a stunning blow from a policeman outside, and surrendered at discretion. Messrs. Andrew Muller, Carlos W.
