A communication was received from the Executive, transmitting a report relative to the recent fire at Dibrell's Warehouse, and recommending that all the tobacco warehouses of the State be made fire-proof. proposed and rejected. Pending an amendment offered by Mr. Stuart, the Convention took a recess until 4 o'clock, P. M. Evening session. The Convention, on reassembling, adopted an amendment offered by Mr. Stuart, in the 2d section of article 5, substituting "one hundred" for "three hundred." On motion of Mr. G. W. Randolph, the 4th section of article 6, relating to Circuit Courts, was amended by adding, "and with the concurrence of a majority of the members elected to each House, provision may be made for more than one Judge in a city" On motion of Mr. Young, the 17th section of article 5, relating to coroners, constables, &c., was amended by adding, "and the terms of their office shall be prescribed by law."
