Episcopal Diocesan Council --The yearly meeting of the Episcopal Diocesan Council of the State of Virginia convened yesterday at 11 o'clock, at St. Paul's Church, in this city.--The opening sermon was preached by Rev. Joshua Peterkin, of St. James's Church. The Council met in the basement of the Church about 1 o'clock, Bishop Johns presiding over the deliberations of the body. A considerable number of clerical and lay delegates from various parts of the State were in attendance.--The deliberations of the Council will probably be brought to a conclusion on Friday.
