I do not know the locality of the Fifty-second in the evening, as I was with the Forty-fourth and Fifty-eighth, and momentarily expecting an attack. In this engagement the Forty-fourth lost one killed and three wounded. The Fifty-second had two killed and twenty-four wounded, and the Fifty-eighth none killed and five wounded. Lark's battery, two killed and three wounded. Total, five killed and thirty-five wounded. In this action, Major Ross, of the Fifty-eighth was wounded; so was General Stewart. Respectfully submitted.
