Gill Ragland, was in the Kentucky campaign and was greatly distinguished at the battle of Richmond in that State. Afterward it was sent to north Mississippi, and from that time acted as Gen. The Ninth battalion Georgia light guards, or Macon ordnance guards battalion, Col. Patrick Mell, Maj. H. T. Price, was composed of the companies of Capts. (A) C. W. Bond, (B) C. Dodd, (C) A.
