A Victim to camphene. --Jennie Merritt, a little daughter (aged nine) of E. D. Merritt, of Chesterfield county, Va., was so badly burned on Saturday last as to cause her death on the next day. She had taken a lighted lamp in her hand, and getting possession of a small camphene can partially filled, she play fully thrust the lighted wick into the spout. The camphene ignited, and an explosion followed instantly. She was immediately covered with one sheet of flame, and her body horribly burnt.
