A patriotic community.
--The people of Glenville, Alabama, numbering about 130 souls, have thoroughly equipped and put into the field a full company of fighting men, and subscribed one thousand bales of cotton and between $3,000 and $4,000 to the Produce Loan.
Col. Americus C. Mitchell, a wealthy planter, subscribed his entire crop over and above his expenses.
Mr. George H. Thompson did the same.
Besides this, the same community raised upwards of $4,000 to provide for the families of absent soldiers.
