Narrow escape. --Yesterday afternoon a little son of Mr. Michael Owens, of Manchester, while fishing from a post lying at a wharf in that town, fell overboard and came near drowning. The little fellow had finally sunk, when a companion leaped into the river, and after diving succeeded in bringing him to the shore. Prompt attention succeeded in restoring him to life, although he was, at last accounts, quite delirious and ill from the effects of the water swallowed by him.
