1861. The town of Carver had one company in the Third Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Militia, which left the State for Fortress Monroe on the 17th of April for three months service, under the first call of the President for troops.
At a meeting held on the 11th of May it was voted that the town make up the pay of all soldiers in said company in addition to wha
