Personal difficulty. --Yesterday morning Henry R Pollard (not E. A Pollard, who is absent from the city because of ill health,) appeared before the Mayor and gave bail in $2,000 to keep the peace and to appear before the Mayor to day to answer the charge of assaulting and beating T. W. McMahon. The difficulty, as we understand, drew out of an article published in the Examiner last Friday, which reflected designedly, as Mr. Pollard declared, on Mr. McMahon.
