Reconnaissances were made recently by the Susquehanna and the gunboat Winona, which clearly proved the falsity of the late rumors that it had been evacuated. Both vessels were fired upon, but without receiving damage. Our harbor is filling fast with men of war of all grades, and the Admiral's fleet is already very formidable.
