Severe fall.
--Yesterday, a negro boy in the employ of Mr. John D. Quarles, fell from a scaffolding on 4th street, where he was at work, to the ground below, a distance of twenty feet, and injured himself badly.
His head struck the bricks on the ground, cutting a frightful gash.
After the fall, he walked to his quarters, and was put under the care of Dr. Cabell.
None of his bones were broken, but strange to say, his tongue has become so completely paralyzed that he has not been able to utter a word.
Stealing Plank.
--Alfred, slave to John D. Quarles, was convicted before Justice Sadler, yesterday morning, of stealing plank from some unknown person the night before, and was sentenced to the lash.

--From the undersigned, on Sunday night last, the 8th inst., my negro boy Jos. Said boy is four feet seven or eight inches high; quite sprightly, and of a ginger-bread color, and 14 or 15 years of age. I will give a reward of $10 for the apprehension and delivery of Joe to me, at my residence, corner of Main and Foushee sts.

Said Albert is about 13 years of age, nearly 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, very black, and lisps when talking.
No marks upon his person remembered.
He is supposed to be employed in some of the camps near the city.
I will give a reward of $10 for the apprehension of said boy and his delivery to me at my residence, corner of Main and Foushee sts.
