Interesting from Texas. Galveston, May 16th. --This city is thoroughly fortified. The U. S. officers arrested by Col. Van Dorn have been released on parole. It is believed that Cortinas, the Mexican bandit, is engaged in an extensive raid upon the Rio Grande. Fort Brown is well protected. Capt. Reynolds, the Federal Quartermaster at San Antonio, has resigned.
