A patriotic utterance in favor of Southern rights is visited with insults and violence by organized bands of scoundrels who would not dare, save in the excitement of the present times, to look a decent white man in the face. The consequence is, that many Virginia gentlemen, heretofore doing business at the North, have been compelled to return. Two of our citizens, doing business in Philadelphia, viz: Capt. Chas.
