6. "That in the wise statesmanship and fervent patriotism of our honored Chief Magistrate we repose implicit trust, and tender him our hearty and cordial support.

8. "That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to Congress, the Virginia Legislature, President Davis, General R. E. Lee, and to the Richmond journals for publication.
