Ordered a Whipping. --A free negro woman, named Delilah Scott, was brought before the acting Mayor yesterday on the charge of stealing from Mrs. Dosher one dress, one gold bracelet, $25 in Confederate money, and $4 in silver, a few nights solace. A search was made among Delilah's effects, which failed to disclose the articles said to have been stolen; but Mrs. D. recognizing a table cloth which she had lost some time since, the negro was ordered twenty five lashes for having it in her possession.
